Quality & Patient Safety

The medical transport expertise of our flight medical crew is also available for accompanying patients on commercial flights. Through arrangements with most airlines we can transfer or repatriate patients with oxygen or stretcher requirements, providing a lower-cost alternative to a dedicated air ambulance aircraft, yet maintaining a high level of patient care.
Where possible we will perform air ambulance transfers on bed-to-bed basis, meaning that our flight medical crew pick up the patient from the hospital at departure and hand him over at the hospital at arrival location. We do this to ensure the highest possible level of patient care. If we cannot do bed-to-bed transfer it is usually due to one of the following: pilots’ duty time limitations, security or insurance restrictions, or immigration requirements.
